Innovative imaging allows physicians to see things they otherwise had to conceptualize in their minds. At Beaumont, they can take a full-motion, 3-D video image right into the operating room, allowing them to see inside the patient’s body before the surgery even begins, enabling them to plan their surgical approach in advance.

Many specialties are benefiting from the technology — the lab is capable of providing three-dimensional vascular and urologic studies; living kidney donor workups; neurosurgical exams specific to the cervical, thoracic and lumbar spines; orthopedic exams of the extremitiesand other advanced vascular analyses.
